I asked this question two years ago, but I still don't know the answer: Has anyone anywhere come up with an explanation for how a Palestinian kid could predict both the World Trade Center attacks and the American Airlines 587 crash?

Our Muslim bretheren are a fairly insular community (at least around here - St. Louis). I suspect that there was a meme running through the community that something was afoot. Nobody can really keep their yap shut completely. I'll bet the hijackers said something to someone who made vague warnings through back-channels. Like the "telephone game" the details are muddied, the origin murky.
This might have been a combination of an imaginative child taking an idea (the WTC had been bombed before) and making a statement that happened - to his misfortune - been prophetic.
I wonder how many times a similar "prediction" went unnoticed because it never occured. It's like the Jean Dixon effect - nobody remembers the failed preditctions.
Considering that the Muslim community is not monolithically loyal to the idea of a constitutional republic and western freedom (sorry, that's just how it seems to me - I'm not reccommending internment) I would not be suprised if the greater Muslim community had an inkling of something big.
