Weinstein. <br /><br />He's the author of the leading evidence treatise; he has authored over 75 law review articles (Westlaw's database pulls up 75, but he was writing long before WL was an option); he has authored some of the most important decisions of any sitting district judge in areas as diverse as mass torts, civil procedure, sentencing, and immigration. And his cases are cited --often. The Westlaw search (jack w/2 weinstein) on the JLR database pulls up 2460 hits. <br /><br />So you can count me as another skeptic.
